What is FSTA?

FSTA - Food Science and Technology Abstracts® is the world's largest database of information on food science, food technology and nutrition. Food scientists across the world rely on FSTA for its comprehensive coverage and high-quality content and indexing.

What kind of food science information can I find on FSTA?

FSTA covers topics relating to every aspect of the food chain including all the major food commodities plus biotechnology, microbiology, food safety, additives, nutrition, packaging and pet foods.

How is the information presented?

FSTA abstracts are highly informative and wherever possible, include additional information of food-relevance from the original article. Each record includes full bibliographic data, including the author's email address, if available. To help you search effectively, FSTA is fully indexed with 10,489 keyword terms taken from the FSTA™ Thesaurus. Use of the dedicated FSTA™ Thesaurus, which is updated
regularly with current terms, assists in accurate record retrieval.

Where does the information on FSTA come from?

FSTA boasts an unrivalled coverage of journals, books, patents, standards, reviews, conference proceedings and reports from many fields of relevance to food science, food technology and nutrition. The database from 1969 to present includes material from over 4600 serial publications published in up to 40 languages.
